Mastodon have been nominated for a 2012 Grammy in the Best Hard Rock / Metal Performance category for their song "Curl The Burl". The song is from the band's critically acclaimed album The Hunter, which reached the Top 10 on the Billboard Top 200 chart upon its release this year. This is the band's second Grammy nomination; their first being for the song 'Colony of Birchmen' in 2007. The 2012 Grammy Awards will be broadcast live on February 12th.
